Meet Our Instructors

Lillian Gilpin

Lillian has been a professional horse trainer and riding instructor for over thirty years. She was born and raised on the South Shore in Massachusetts, and gained her skills as a horsewoman working at local facilities. She opened Rocking Horse Farm in 1982, and has been providing lessons for all ages ever since. For Lillian, running Rocking Horse Farm is not just her livelihood, it is her passion – given her love of horses, hard work, dedication and high-level of commitment, she has accomplished a great deal as an instructor and trainer. Lillian has provided instruction to countless individuals, many of whom continue to love and show horses to this day.   She has been invited to judge horse show competitions at the local, state, regional and national level.  Her commitment to her horses and to her clients is without question, and her skill as a trainer is indubitable, especially when one considers her many students who have successfully competed and won local, state, regional and national horse shows.
